What are you most excited about for the future?

Our older son Alex and his wife Nicole are going to have a baby girl in early November. This will be our first grandchild so it’s a very big deal for me.

My husband and I had two sons. They are still the best of friends in their 30s and were best man at each other’s wedding. So that worked out well. However, I had always wanted a daughter and consoled myself back in 1993 by saying perhaps someday I will have a granddaughter. So that someday is now fast approaching a few months after my 68th birthday.

I am going to be a granny and nothing could give me more pleasure at this point in my life!
