Do you remember your favorite book from childhood?

One favorite book from childhood was Pat the Bunny by Dorothy Kunhardt. I liked how you could play Peek-a~Boo with Paul, scratch Daddy’s beard, look in the mirror and other engaging activities.

The Cat and the Hat Comes Back by Dr. Seuss was also a favorite on mine. I loved the rhymes he created and the sounds of the words as they were read out loud.
“When our mother went
Down to the town for the day
She said, ‘Somebody has to
Clean all this away.
Somebody, SOMEBODY
Has to, you see.’
Then she picked out two Somebodies.
Sally and me.”

Thirdly, I loved The Little Engine that Could by Watty Piper. This was a great story with a moral. If you think you can do something, you are more likely to try it and find success, rather than saying, “I can’t do something,” because you never tried doing it before.
I fondly remember my mother reading these three books to me, and many more. Thanks, Mom, for instilling such a great love of reading in me.
I never liked the Cat In The Hat. But the Little Engine That Could, I sure did. Besides, I adore the 1991 animated movie. Rather than that lousy CGI animated movie. And the song is glorious. “Nothing Can Stop Us Now”. https://youtu.be/pcWxiSUf6tw?si=L2syKEF2EVqFOP50

I didn’t know a movie was made of that book. Thanks for sharing this information with me.

Much obliged. And I just wish that 1991 version were to be on dvd 📀 instead of VHS 📼.
