Walking along the sandy beach barefoot
Noticing the imprints of others who have walked ahead of me
Thinking of my parents who took us to Florida for many beach walks
Their memory has left deep imprints in my psyche
I think of them every day here in Spain
Sometimes it is with a heavy heart and sorrow about their absence from my life
Sometimes it’s with gratitude for their love and the many good memories imprinted on my soul
The sea’s waves may wash away the sandy footprints of others
But the heart still remembers

Very nice memories. Great job. Hubby

It’s wonderful what the hot pen prompts can produce. This is such a nice sentiment.
